FedEx’s largest Sacramento Region Contractor and Heavy Equipment Repair facility
Company started in November 2013 and ended that year with $36,000 in Revenues. 2014 grew to $2MM+ in revenues and 2015 will end over $3.5MM in revenues. Combined 2016 is projected to be over $8.5 MM. I am the Sacramento Region’s largest FedEx LineHaul contractor, currently being paid on 60,000 miles per week directly from FedEx. Sitka Trucking was the fastest growing contractor in the region and capped out on available FedEx runs in 2015. From there, I opened a second trucking entity to continue the growth. In December of 2015, I purchased a Heavy Equipment repair facility with 8 mechanics and $3 million in revenue. The reason for the purchase was to cut my own fleet repair costs (around $250,000) down substantially, while also earning money from other fleet owners. My purchase of the repair business was $1,350,000. I put $400,000 down and injected another $200,000 in to the repair business to pay off credit lines that were owed. The Seller carried back $950,000, of which the current balance sits at $700,000. I am looking to pay this seller off.
We currently provide 20+ big rigs to FedEx to pull their freight. We are paid weekly directly from FedEx per mile and we currently average around 60,000 miles per week between two trucking entities. Gross revenues for 2016 are projected at around $5,000,000. In December, we purchased a heavy equipment/truck repair business that have been around for 20+ years. Last year revenue for the repair business was $3,000,000. Cost savings to the total business from doing our own repairs will be about $100,000.
I own multiple businesses. I am the Chief Investment Officer of Napa Wealth Management and the portfolio manager of a publicly traded mutual fund (NYSE: MOMOX) In 2013 I sold a real estate partnership of which I was the GP. The LP owned 240+ apartment units that we rehabbed and rented out. With the money, I started a trucking company to contract with FedEx, and from there, added the repair facility. I am very good at identifying and growing companies and improving inefficiencies, as well as identifying and delegating responsibility to those who are experts in their work categories to maintain operating profitability. I don’t know how to drive or fix a truck, but we have a very dynamic, fast growing, and successful Truck and Repair business.
