Focused documentary work on a selection of local wildlife. Involves setting up camera traps, hides and capturing footage of animal behaviour
Hey there and thanks for coming to check out my page! My name is Lexi and I’m based in Lancaster.
Today I decided to take a leap of faith and ask for some support with my photography and I hate asking for money!
I am a local wildlife photographer and spend most of my hours (when I’m not working) outdoors tracking, watching, studying and photographing local wildlife.
To take my photography to the next level, I want to embark on some more focuseddocumentary work on a select few species. This will involve setting up camera traps, hides and capturing sharper, detailed and around the year footage of the animals behaviours and their day to day life.
To further my outdoor projects I desperately need to add a few extra pieces of kit to my collection to capture the secret wildlife around us all. This would include a higher quality telephoto lens (as mine produces fuzzy close ups when the subjects are too far away), a transportable hide (to also get closer), some waders, life jacket, camera traps (to document and observe nests with little disruption.
I recently upgraded my camera to improve my photography, which I am currently paying back over the next 2 years… And selling any other worldly positions to help get the right set up to move towards more professional images.
The animals I will be observing will be otters, kingfishers, herons, cormorants and red squirrels(and more!). All work with be performed with mindfullness, adhearing to Schedule 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and always putting the welfare of the animals first.
The project will be documented online for people to follow the project. Thanks for any support!
