(ENGLISH VERSION BELOW)
Hereinspaziert!
► Was passiert mit Deinem Geld?
Also: Ran an den Speck!
Vielen Dank für Deinen Support!
Deine Kiddo Kat
Welcome!
It’s me, Kiddo Kat.
Glad you’re checking in on my Pledge-Page!
So here’s the deal:
You, me and my band, we’re going to make an album together – my first album ever! All you need is a passion for good handmade groovemusic and a euro or two.
You in or what?!
►What is this project about and why does the viral girl need the money anyway?
As an artist without a record deal, sooner or later you reach your personal financial limit when it comes to making a proper record. I know exactly how that feels: Last year I produced and recorded my first EP „Why Am I So Funky?!“ with the help of my band and friends out of my own pocket. And let me put it this way: my piggybank took a walloping.
Now the craziest thing happened to me in April this year, and it might turn out to be worth even more than a record deal:
A strong fanbase boomed over night, when a video of a subway-jam I did with Heidi Joubert and Ozzy Lino went viral on facebook(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF6shrBX4L8). The positive feedback worldwide and all the countless kind messages reinforced me as an artist and made me realize how a passion for music and the pure joy of life can bring people together and truly touch them. Now I can’t wait to give you more of that energy and groove and put it together in one powerful album!
Because 70Mio clicks on facebook make you very rich in love but not in money and, as I already mentioned, my piggybank already suffered under the making of the last record, I really need your help to make this thing happen!
►How does the whole thing work?
You can order my album here before its release or choose from a bunch of other cool personal stuff and rarities all selected by me.
The bar in the right upper corner of this page raises with every order, or so called „pledge“, counting the number of people who believe in my project.
But: The deal only goes down the moment we’ve reached the full amount of 100%. Until 99% the whole thing stays just a theoretical bet without any risks: your money doesn’t leave your hands and the goodies stay in my closet. If we make it to 100%, we have a deal and the fun part begins! Only then you will pay and I will send out the goodies to you!
►Where does all the money go?
Once this campaign reaches the 100 % mark, I can cover the basic costs for the album production. These costs include renting the studio, mixing, mastering, cover shoot and artwork.
In case we go beyond the 100% mark, the whole thing gets even better: I have a band that sticks with me through thick and thin and have spent countless unpaid days in the studio with me during the production of my EP. Although these precious fellas on my side are actually priceless, I would be really happy to be able to pay them a fair fee, which they have already earned without a doubt.
And if you all go totally nuts on this pledge-campaign: No worries, I can think of a lot more possible uses for your money, such as album promotion, financing the tour etc…
►Why should you get involved?
My computer is full, my head is full, I got a whole bunch of groovy songs, that I need to get out there and can’t wait to show you guys!
You have the opportunity to become a part of my project and join the process of the production of the first Kiddo Kat album ever! Who knows, maybe one day you can proudly tell your grandchildren, neighbours or even the postman that you were my supporter from the very beginning.
In exchange for your support, you can choose something off my virtual flea market below.
As a special thanks, every goodie comes with the Access-Pass, including the album as a download, and grants you entry to my Pledge-Backstage Area where I’ll keep you posted about the album production with exclusive photos, videos and blogs. I promise it will be worth it to sneak a peek!
Thank you for your support!
Your Kiddo Kat
KIDDO KAT
(DEUTSCH)
KIDDO KAT
(ENGLISH)
Once upon a time, a sweet three-year-old blonde girl sat in front of her father’s record player for hours on end, with her ears firmly pressed up against the loudspeakers. Her alarmed parents consulted a doctor, worried that their little daughter might be hearing-impaired. To their relief, the doctor told them their child’s hearing was even especially good and she was simply a dedicated fan of music.
20 years later, a dazzling blonde lady is standing between speaker towers, with a cherry-red Gibson Flying V guitar slung around her neck like Jimi Hendrix or Lenny Kravitz, but sounding damn funky and „grooving like Nile Rodgers (Daft Punk)“ [quote from Frank Peterson]. With her mischievous grin and her natural cool, you can see she never planned doing anything else in her life than this.
KIDDO KAT combines both, the playful kid with her unstoppable good mood and overwhelming energy, and the in-your-face, grown up, grooving cool cat. Each song sparkles like a disco ball, bringing back funk music and the vibes of James Brown to Janelle Monae, the kind of music that has always made audiences jump out of their seats and dash to the dance floor.
Born in Berlin, the charismatic power lady moved to Hamburg in 2014 to work with producers like Frank Peterson (Sarah Brightman, Gregorian)
and Thorsten Brötzmann (Amy Macdonald, No Angels, Ace of Base) and set up a live band of first class musicians including Tobias Held (Max Mutzke, Monopunk), Robin Engelhardt (Johannes Oerding), Philipp Weihe (Marvin Brooks), and Lars Cölln (Pohlmann, L’Aupaire, Chefket).
The vibes of this intense musical phase are captured in KIDDO KAT’s EP „Why am I so funky?“ which she and her musician friends produced and recorded themselves and released in February 2016.
Only weeks later, KIDDO KAT sensationally became world famous overnight with a clip of her and fellow musician Heidy Joubert playing songs on the subway after a hard day’s work at the music fair in Frankfurt, Germany. A colleague filmed the two girls with his mobile phone and a random subway passenger (who later turned out to be Maltese musician Ozzy Lino) joined right in. The wobbly images of the three spontaneous musicians bubbling with fun and energy – and enjoying life in the moment – went viral on the internet, reaching over 50 million clicks within the first week.
KIDDO KAT is currently planning a row of international concerts with Heidi Joubert as „Kiddo & Heidi“.
Stay tuned as the fairy tale continues…
