This photobook is a time travel to the Vintage Festival at the South bank in London in 2011.
Vintage Stories, London is a photography book that portrays the Vintage Festival at the South bank in London in 2011.
The book consists of street portraits of people at the festival. It is a celebration of vintage streetstyle, and a tribute to celebrate the past in a modern world.
I am raising funds for this book so it is possibly to share it with the public.
Funding will make it possible to make a unique and beautiful book!
I am very grateful to Count Indigo for letting me have you on the cover of the book. Tusen takk!
And a huge thank to Michael Atters Attree for your text about your clothing!
I am also very grateful to Julie Sandberg, Kjersti Sundland and Tor Helland for helping out with text or translations in the book.
So far this is the first and last time the main festival has been in London, except from the popular New Years Eve event every New Year, and it`s Classic Car Boot Sale. For further details about the ongoing festival – see here.
Size: 220 x 260 mm, Hardcover, offset print, uncoated paper: ‘Scandia Smooth’. Limited to 700 copies.
We are very excited that the book will be printed using UV-press technology on a ‘Heidelberg Speedmaster’ UV press. Even with very intense, dark and rich ink coverage the results are said to be excellent on uncoated paper.
The prints are already sent off to repro, for best printing results with this technique. Looking forward to see the test prints!
I am happy to collaborate with well known Norwegian book & graphic designer Nina Ansten, who has put great knowledge and enthusiasm to this project.
“Nina Ansten has designed, curated and developed visual concepts for a number of books, brands, events and exhibitions. She has worked with a variety of artists, museums and companies including the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Statoil Art Collection, Thomas Tallis School and the National Museum.”
Vintage Stories, London will be a wonderful book, and this is your chance to get a photobook from these days in London!

This is the first time I`m funding a book. It`s not gonna be an easy task, but I´ve been learning by asking & reading bout other successfully and unsuccessfull crowdfounding projects. That makes it much easier.
And I`m very pleased and happy to lean on a graphic designer who has the knowledge and enthusiasm of press, printing and design in how to make beautiful books.
The content of the book is nearly completed. The images has been sent to a test print.
What we can`t be sure of is delivery dates worldwide. I wish you will have it in July, depending on the mailmen and the printers.
I will do my best to foresee possible problems, so you will get your rewards within estimated time.
