Scott Monty Strategies is a consultancy for brands and agencies on communications and marketing strategy, influencer management, the customer experience, and digital transformation initiatives.
Monty was ranked by The Economist as number one atop the list of 25 Social Business Leaders and by Forbes as one of the top 10 influencers in social media. Alan Mulally, the CEO of Ford Motor Company, called him “a visionary.”

With another decade of experience in communications and marketing agencies, Monty has advised clients that include IBM Healthcare & Life Sciences, Coca-Cola, American Airlines, T-Mobile, and GE Software, among others.
Monty is a member of the board of directors of the American Marketing Association and an advisor for RPM Ventures, Crowd Companies, My Dealer Service and Clever Girls. He’s been featured in hundreds of news and business publications in print and on the Web, in dozens of books, and on a variety of mainstream media, including NBC, NPR, CNN and The Wall Street Journal. Monty is a recognized thought leader in the digital world, and will be presenting his first Pubcon keynote.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Monty is an active blogger and podcaster. He writes about issues in communications, advertising, marketing, technology and leadership at ScottMonty.com and also writes and co-hosts “I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere,” a news site dedicated to Sherlock Holmes.
Monty received his Master’s in Medical Science from Boston University’s School of Medicine concurrently with his MBA from BU’s Graduate School of Management. He lives in Michigan with his wife and two young sons, golfs all too infrequently, and has a hidden talent for voice-over work.
