Born and Raised Rodeo Still Requires Effort
Trent Watkins is heading to Lebanon, Tennessee from June 19th to 25th to compete at the national level for both Tie Down Roping and Chute Dogging. Though he has already hit the ground running in search of additional sponsorships this page has been created to reach anyone and everyone that is interested in supporting Trent near and far.
Trent has worked hard this past year and won Goat Tying, Chute Dogging, and Ribbon Roping within District One. In doing so he won District All-Around and qualified for State Finals in all eight of his events. Last week at State Finals Trent competed in five events and finished 2nd in the state for Tie Down Roping and Chute Dogging. Overall he ranked 4th in State amongst the boys.
Before Nationals you have an opportunity to see Trent do his work at the Potter Valley Junior Rodeo on Saturday, May 28th beginning at 1:00 p.m. He will also be participating on Sunday; roping with his Father.
Similar to other sports there is a great amount of time and significant monetary involvement; the more we can do to support this young man the better.
If you would like to see Trent in person please call Jamie Watkins (707) 272 0258 or Gary Watkins
