A loan of $10,000 helps me to pay for certifications, and invest in marketing materials to grow my client base.
Hello! My name is Daniela Jonguitud. I am a 32 year old Latino female who started her own business in home care here in South San Francisco with a couple of Family members. We believe that compassion, care and patience are lost among our elders, and their providers, and that is why we created this company.
We are trying to bring back that lost vision of real care, real compassion and real understanding of the needs of the elderly and infirm that our society is losing. Nowadays, home care is only a big money business in our society, and we are trying to change that. Of course, this is not an easy challenge! It requires, time, effort and of course a lot of hands helping — not only helping our patients, but also helping us!
Our main purpose is to provide not only physical care, but also emotional care. We want to remind our patients how alive they still are, and how important they are in their family and our entire system, because we might have the energy, but no doubt they have the wisdom and experience that only long life can give.
We hope one day to be able to repay your support not only through Kiva but also by creating a nonprofit to support and create new health care providers that don’t just put a dollar sign in their care, but put their real heart as well.
In the end, we can only make a change one person at a time, but we are definitely trying to make this change in our communities, by supporting the hands and hearts of our most forgotten but wise individuals — our elders.
Please give us a hand to help us in making this change!!!
Chajinel is from the Mayan Quiche language, and means “Caregiver of the Soul”.
Chajinel Home Care services was created with the intention of innovating the way home care services are given in our society. Our slogan “because health and well-being matters” explains in a few words the intentions of Chajinel. At Chajinel we are committed to innovate and exceed clients’ expectations in the way the care of their loved ones is managed.
I will use this loan to pay for my home care certifications, and invest in marketing materials to grow my client base. Because we provide personalized care to our clients over many months, each client that Chajinel serves is highly valuable, and so a small investment in marketing (through printed flyers, and some online advertising) can easily pay for itself very quickly with just a few additional clients.
