Support the exhibition ‘Mysteries of the Mind’ that is being curated by UCL Museum Studies MA students at the Institute of Archaeology!
We, a team of 20 students on this year’s MA in Museum Studies at UCL, are developing a temporary exhibition, Mysteries of the Mind, for the Exhibition Project course. Mysteries of the Mind will explore the human mind and the tools people have used to locate, access, and understand it through time.
This exhibition will be on display in the Leventis Gallery at UCL’s Institute of Archaeology from 6 May 2016 to April 2017. We are also partnered with the Science Museum Late Event to develop an activity titled The Secret World of the Brain, which allows visitors to engage with current neuroscience experiments attempting to understand how the human brain make sense of the world around us.
For this project, we are organising everything ourselves. This includes creating a concept, collections management, design, audience research, PR and even fundraising. This is where we need your help! By donating you will enable us to buy objects for the exhibition. Even though we have loans from various museums, still we need to buy many the contemporary objects for the cases ourselves. All proceeds will hence go straight into the purchase of these key objects!
We thank you for your support and invite you to come and visit the exhibition at the Institute of Archaeology!
