Brooklyn, NY
Manufacture New York is interested in creating a strong relationship with the Kickfurther community by listing our first offer for $50,000. We have sold out of our holiday inventory and are wanting to restock for the upcoming Spring/Summer seasons.
The funds we are planning to raise on Kickfurther will go towards materials and production for our SS16 Men’s Collection that we are selling through our E-Commerce platform, as well as a couple of pop-up shops that we are having this Spring/Summer.
We have all of the designs, patterns, and samples complete for our collection and are now in marking and grading. We are waiting to begin the fun part- where we produce it!
In order to produce this collection we need the overhead for the materials and cut & sew/wash for production. Included in each garment price is the amount for the total of this. We source the best materials we can for our garments, the majority of it (all the denim, terry, jersey) is produced in the US. We use established fabric mills like Cone Denim and American Fabrics that are grown and produced in the Southeastern US, primarily in North Carolina. Our leathers are Italian leathers from Libra Leathers, which source the finest leathers from Europe, and our silks are from Calamo and are the highest quality. It typically takes 2-4 weeks to get all the materials in once they are ordered.
We have our cut & sew for Production lined up and scheduled for 6 weeks from now, April 15th. We are using 3 different NYC manufacturers for our Production based on fabrication. We look for manufacturers with the highest value that we can pass on to our Customers. We have the best denim, leather, and cut and sew manufacturers lined up to do our produciton. We are going to launch our Pre-Sale on April 1st, with the ship date being 12 weeks later (June 15th). We are anticipating our production taking 6 weeks, but the extra 2 weeks will guarentee us to have all of the washes complete and have them pressed, packaged, and ready to ship by June 15th.
The timeline is as follows:
March 15th- Order all materials
April 15th- Carry to cutters & manufacturers
April 25th- Look over TOP’s (top of production) so we can make sure Production is up to company standard’s with quality.
April 25th-May 25th- Production
May 25th-June 5th- Enzyme Washing for Jeans & Zip Ups
May 25th-June 10th- Pressing and Packaging for all Styles
June 12th- Delivered to our shipping and receiving room at MNY, ready to ship.
