The Great Joy You Get From Improving The Life of Others
For the past five years, me and few friends have been collecting money and sending it to Ethiopia to help people in dire need. We have sent money to orphans, single moms, and assisted local school to buy materials. Even though Ethiopia is one of the fastest growing countries in Africa, today, the level of poverty is massive, inflation is very high, and it breaks my heart seeing many talented young males and females suffering. It has been my dream for a long time to start a profitable Agriculture business to create jobs, and use the profit to support charitable projects in providing Education and seasonal job training where people can gain the skill necessary to improve their lives. Knowledge is power and that is what is missing in Ethiopia. Moreover, to do the aforementioned project money is needed. I have visited the country and have realized the huge potential for success in establishing a profitable business. I am a Canadian citizen and a legal permanent resident in the United State and I have been granted residence status in Ethiopia which gives me the right to buy property and operate a business. Moreover, Ethiopian government offers many incentives for people of Ethiopian origin living abroad (such as me) to come and invest in the country. Today the biggest investors are Chinese corporations that come with large sums of capital and secure huge properties.
My advantages, as someone of Ethiopian origin are the government incentive for Ethiopian in diaspora along with my family ties that gives me the ability to secure property and tools build a business. I have been offered in the past large farming property for a little cost but didn’t try because of I will need additional funding to cover various expenses. I currently have many resources and great network of various business men, government officials, and land owners within the country but my biggest obstacle is getting the funds needs for the farming business to succeed. My Ideal goal is 300,000 to comfortably move and begin my Farming career comfortably at a larger scale; However, 100,000 will surely allow me to start a small Agriculture business, and as the old Chines saying “A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.” In addition, the Ethiopian government gives the greatest incentives in tax breaks and other services for business in Manufacturing and farming. Ethiopia is growing, however, its not yet highly competitive and there are many business opportunity guaranteed to succeed. I enjoy seeing people lives improve, and dream of a humble and modest life that’s filled with achievements in helping others better their lives. I am still collecting money to feed the poor, and assist individual here and there, however, a business where I can offer job opportunities and a profit I can allocate for greater cause is my ultimate dream. The opportunity is readily available for me in Ethiopia, and all I am missing is the fund to start the project I have long dreamed.
Until the end of 2016 I am saving what I can, learning about all the possibilities in Farming and Manufacturing in Ethiopia, and hope by the end of 2016 to get something started, and hope you can assist me reach my goal. Every little bit helps and your contribution is greatly appreciated.
I am greatly thankful to anyone who can assist me reach my goal and I thank you for taking the time to read my fundraising letter.
