Why Bean Dip?
It’s a question I get a lot, but it came out of a love of beans and the lack of food made from beans that you could just go to the store and buy. If you’ve ever made anything with beans from scratch, you know they’re are not exactly a ‘grab-and-go’ food. Sure, you can open a can of ready-made beans, but if you’ve ever tasted the difference between food made from fresh cooked beans vs. beans from a can, you quickly realize there is no comparison. I LOVE making fresh bean dips at home and wanted to find a way to bring the taste of my bean dips with the fresh taste of cooked beans, fresh herbs and veggies to the market. I was shocked to find the quality of other so called ‘bean dips’ on the market. Most of them were a lumpy mosh of canned beans, vinegar, tomato paste and citric acid. So, with the help of some food experts I found a way to make a shelf stable version of my home recipes that taste as good as the real thing. The difference is in the ingredients…fresh cooked beans, fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice, fresh veggies and fresh herbs. They are like nothing else you have ever tried and we hope you’ll support our campaign and get a chance to taste why.
