Helping schools stay informed – this is what Teachers Inbox does day in and day out. Our social enterprise helps teachers and school leaders gain access to the latest information. Our Teachers Inbox Daily Summary Service is a bespoke sector summary service that brings together a world of knowledge into an easy-to-digest morning email report.
We monitor the following:
- Newspapers (national and regional)
- Education Bodies (Ofqual, Ofsted etc.)
- Trade Unions (NUT etc.)
- Government departments (DfE etc.)
- Parliamentary and Assembly Debates, EDM and more
- Opposition Announcements
- Public Consultations
- Think Tank Research
- Social Media
We bring all this information together and package it into a bite size daily Sector Summary report that offers a full glimpse of the current education environment in the UK.
Our service is currently used by 217 UK schools and we want to expand to the 24,000 available schools.
The reason we don’t charge a penny is that schools budgets are being slashed and they need to focus their spending on the children. This is what your donation will help maintain.
Furthermore, we believe schools should not get their information from corporations like Pearson Education, Early Morning Media or Dods Monitoring for hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds a year. School budgets should be spent on each child’s education.
Our goal of £10,000 will help maintain the project during 2016 and will pay for office costs, bills, two part time salaries and marketing. We want teachers to stay informed, with a Conservative government cutting budgets, schools need to plan ahead and with Teachers Inbox they can access the latest information and plan ahead.
