With last year’s successful Kickstarter campaign we brought you a bloody good Titus Andronicus that the New York Times called “blessedly stylized” and “directed with self-assurance and an ardent sense of character.”
We’re back for our SIXTH season, with an original adaptation of Hamlet that reflects the universality of Shakespeare’s greatest play while crossing boundaries of language, age, gender, culture and race, with multiple actors playing the lead role.
Become a backer and you can join us in New York City for the opening performance at the Flamboyan Theater on Sunday, March 20, following a 4 p.m. matinee, or guarantee your premium seats for our run, which ends April 10, 2016.
Up for something new? We have commissioned a new adaptation of The Rape of Lucrece, one of Shakespeare’s least exposed works, in which resident playwright Kevin Brewer converts an epic poem into a stage production. Join us in December 2015 for four evenings of developmental workshops in which we share the first version of the play. We will bring our “second stage” production to you in the fall.
That’s Not All…
This is your annual chance to support a theater company that brings theater to new audiences in exciting new ways.
