After working together for eight years and discovering the needs of the technology VARs and MSPs serving the SMB market, Daniels, Dalvi and Dury founded D3 Unified Communications in 2013. Additionally, the D3UC Leadership Team has an intimate understanding about building a managed service business from inception (including design, development, implementation and operations). In 2005, the three D’s were the founding CEO, CFO, and CTO of BITS, a Cloud-based converged network solution that provided voice, data, internet, and security services to SMBs in the U.S. Under the same leadership that guides D3UC, BITS signed $100M in new and renewal contracts and built a customer base of 600 locations in 15 states. The D3UC platform is comprised of six Open Source components that provide all the functionality and scalability of the multi-million dollar Phone and Unified Communications solutions from the large technology providers like Cisco and Avaya. The cornerstone of the D3UC service delivery process is the D3UC Internet Portal, which is branded with the name and logo of the White Label Reseller and provides a single interface into all aspects of the D3UC platform, from provisioning the IP phones to defining the call paths for every Unified Communications device on the platform. D3UC’s proprietary rights are imbedded in the processes, procedures, methodologies, and custom programs that allow White Label Resellers to manage all aspects of a Cloud-based Phone and Unified Communications company, including marketing, sales, installation, training, trouble management and billing.
D3UC’s target market is the 10,000 VARs and MSPs who sell technology services to the 5 million SMBs in the U.S. D3UC’s offering helps technology VARs and MSPs generate recurring monthly revenue with profit margins up to 100% and allows them to sell their own branded Cloud-based phone service. At a competitive retail price of $25, White Label Resellers have the potential to generate substantial monthly profits – tens of thousands of dollars – depending on the number of UC devices installed.
D3UC Distribution Channel is our target market – the 10,000 VARs and MSPs who provide technology services to the 5 million SMBs in the U.S. It is a segment that is struggling to survive and is seeking services to compete with the large phone and cable companies and minimize attrition in their customer base. D3UC’s value proposition involves minimal capital cost, and is price, feature and function competitive with other Cloud-based phone providers.
D3UC has only ten known competitors who White Label Cloud-based Phone and Unified Communications to technology VARs and MSPs. Although they are already established, they “white label” to the VARs and MSPs while selling direct to the VAR’s and MSP’s customers. This creates a channel conflict and is a major cause for concern among VARs and MSPs who do not want to partner with a company today that could become their competitor in the future.
