Rachel Drew & the Bitter Roots: Debut Album

My band, Rachel Drew & the Bitter Roots, is making its debut album! It’s been a dream to do this for quite a while, and it’s finally happening; but the project will be so much better, and go so much further, with your support. By preordering, you’ll receive the finished project as soon as it’s released as a digital download, along with bonus items based on your pledge level (CDs, posters, and more). There will be pledge exclusives for all levels — like band interviews, videos, and other updates. I will be posting many updates as we record, mix, and release the album. There will be extra tracks and other exclusives for folks who support the project. I’d love to have you share in the journey.

I am SO GRATEFUL for the amazing band who has been shaping the songs with me: the always soulful and inspirational Alton Smith on keys; the beautiful and luminary Steve Dawson on bass; the salty, blazing, rock thunder of John Mead on guitar; and the mind-bogglingly awesome Gerald Dowd on drums.

For those who don’t know me, I’ve been singing all my life, and I’ve been writing songs for many years. My influences include: Otis Redding, Gladys Knight, Patsy Cline, The Beatles, and Hank Williams.

I’m SO excited to hear what this will sound like, and would be very grateful if you’d help spread the word. I am also very excited to report that 5% of my budget will go to help support PAWS Chicago, the city’s most vocal advocate for pet adoption and the humane treatment of animals. A larger percentage will go to PAWS Chicago after my goal is reached.

Thanks so much!
Rachel Drew
