iCrowdNewswire - Oct 29, 2015

Girls South Africa Tour 2016

Project aim

The first ever Cornwall Girls Cricket team tour to South Africa.  Our aim is to raise a total of £5,000 to help towards the individual target of 10 of the girls that will be playing.  This amazing opportunity will set the girls back £2,200 each and therefore if we can reach our target this will go someway to helping with individual fundraising efforts.

 About the project

This is an official tour, fully endorsed and supported by Cornwall School’s Cricket Association and the Cornwall Cricket Board.  We will be playing at various locations in Johannesburg and Cape Town to include the Saints Girls College, a well renowned school in Johannesburg where year on year the girls the student’s and thier families provide a wellcoming and throughly enjoyable time to players.

This tour has been a regular part of the CSCA programme however this will be the first year where an overseas tour has been arranged for the girls so it is an extremely exciting time for them and will create opporunities to develop skills and educate the girls of life in a different country.

The tour will provide the girls who are well establihsed and successful with quality fixtures accross South Africa, in addition the girls will visit Pilanesberg National Park and stay at Bakgatla Camp.  The Itenerary also includes visits to Table Mountain, Sun City and to the Wanderers Stadium to Watch England v South Africa!

As well as this campaign the girls are all doing individual and group fundraising to help meet their £2,200 individual targets which include fun evenings and bag packing so if you see them in Tescos please donate!

As you can see the tour will be an expereince of a lifetime for the girls and we really need your support to get them there!  Please please for rewards or just help us out as much as you can!

Thank you for reading.
