I’ve lived in New York practically my whole life. It’s my home, and I don’t think I’ll ever leave. I’ve met a lot of people over the years who have come from all over the world, and the daily struggle to stay in this city and fight for the thing you want is very real. But I also think this city offers a lot of hope, inspiration, friendship, and support.
I love films that take place in NYC. But it’s sort of rare for them to show it in a positive light. There have been a handful of films that have successfully used the city to its fullest, in a way that allows for the city to be a character, so to speak. It’s my goal to make a great New York comedy with a lot of heart. Four Bottles has six compelling lead characters that show the diversity of this city, four of them strong female leads… something we all find lacking in the entertainment industry.
It’s also gonna make people pee their pants.
I honestly think this film will inspire people to fight for the thing they want the most, whether it’s in NYC or not.
