Hello! My name is Jeanette, and I am the owner of Gluten Free Goat Bakery in Pittsburgh, PA. I grew up in Upstate New York but I have lived in Pittsburgh for 9 years, therefore I consider myself a proud Pittsburgher!
I found out almost 10 years ago that I have Celiac disease and since then I have been working hard to perfect my gluten-free recipes. I have always loved to cook and bake and I truly enjoying testing out recipes and creating new pastries and tasty dishes.
I have over 10 years experience working in food service and I consider one of my biggest strengths to be my entrepreneurial instinct. I adore Pittsburgh and I am so proud to bring delicious gluten-free and vegan treats to my beautiful city!
Gluten Free Goat Bakery is a dedicated gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, and mostly organic bakery located in Pittsburgh, PA. I started the bakery in October of last year and I have been humbled by the growth that we have seen in just about a year of being in business. After many years of not finding gluten-free baked goods that I liked, I decided that I should offer pastries and sweets that I would enjoy made with more organic and natural ingredients.
We have a diverse group of clients including those who do not have any allergies or food preferences. My proudest moments are when customers exclaim that they cannot believe that our baked goods are gluten-free!
Gluten Free Goat first started as a wholesale business that sold pastries to coffee shops and cafes. Our wholesale business is flourishing and we now also have a full-time retail location inside of the Pittsburgh Public Market.
Our wholesale business has grown so quickly that we are now in need of a delivery vehicle in order to meet the demand. A delivery vehicle will allow us to expand our wholesale capacity by 200%.
This Kiva loan, to purchase a delivery vehicle, will allow us to expand our wholesale business by 200%, and therefore provide more allergen friendly baked goods to a larger population of the Pittsburgh area. This vehicle will also allow us to transport more equipment and raw materials needed for the day to day operations of the bakery.
