No Comic Left Behind
With wicked wit forged from a lifetime of dealing with the challenges of spina bifida, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment and spinal muscular atrophy, these four aim to deliver laughter with a message: people with disabilities are really no different from you and I.
At the moment, they’re in need of $1200 to launch a publicity campaign to take this vital message national!
If you can help, not only will you get a tangible reward such as a CD or even a performance, you’ll know that you’re helping raise a level of awareness about people with disabilities that is desparately needed!
“Comedy is a great way to break down that barrier that people often have when they’re talking with people with disabilities.”
These comedians have long understood that laughter is the best medicine. Michael nearly died at birth and now has cerebral palsy. And, Tim was born with spina bifida, going through thirteen surgeries to enable him to walk. Shannon DeVido uses a wheelchair and Mike Murray was deaf until the age of 40 when Cochlear implants brought him into the hearing world.
If you, too, believe that laughter is the best medicine, then help put No Comic Left Behind behind a microphone so they can bring smiles and understanding to more and bigger audiences. Thank you!
