The Down to Earth Adventure Pvt. Ltd. fundraising drive has so far raised over $15,000 to pay for emergency shelter, food materials and medical supplies for Nepal earthquake victims, as well as to provide funds to start rebuilding Shree Panch Pokhari Primary School in Shyama-2, Singba, Dolakha, Nepal. In our previous drive (http://chuffed.org/project/shyama-vdc-school-rebui…) we raised funds to pay for the re-build of 2 classrooms, which are scheduled to be completed by the end of September.
It might not seem like much but… our goal is to give the primary school’s 70 pupils a new start so that they can get on with their learning in a permanent school. We are planning the project in three phases: with phase 1 funds (already reached) to cover two classrooms (currently being built in September, 2015),phase 2, our current fundraising drive, to cover the remaining two classroomsand a further third phase to complete the teacher office and plaster the inside and outside walls.
We would like to encourage the fundraising support of both individuals and organisations such as schools and community groups in order for us to try to raise the funds for phase 2 by November when we aim to start re-building the final two classrooms in the school. Your donations and efforts to help us fundraise will certainly make a difference in the lives of not only the school children but also the wider community who are struggling to get back on their feet after the swathe of natural disasters that have battered Nepal.
