Carenne Public School is one of the few Schools for disabled Children in the Central West, catering for around 100 students who come from Bathurst, Hartley, Lithgow, Oberon and Blayney. Carenne School has been providing quality teaching and learning to young people with disabilities of the community since 1957. It has established strong traditions in academic, sporting, cultural and community pursuits. Carenne Public School has recently installed a sensory gymnasium to support mobility and sensory awareness training. As our event management fundraising project, the students from Charles Sturt University have nominated Carenne for their fundraiser. Our aim is to raise $5,000 for the Sensory Swing and the necessary attachments to be installed into their Gymnasium.
