We want to study and preserve the chimpanzees living in Comoe National Park, Ivory Coast, West Africa. These chimpanzees are extremely important since they are a big chunk of the remaining population in the country and they have an unique and surprising culture that would be gone forever if they dissapeared.
We use automatic cameras, genetic studies and state of the art methodology, involving locals in research and conservation and providing direct jobs and environmental education to villagers surrounding the park.
Founding this campaign you will not only help to preserve our closest relatives alive, but you will also help to understand how they adapt to their harsh environment using a wide tool repertoire and special behaviors that could give us clues of how our own ancestors adapted to similar conditions in the past.
