To make a movie users collaboratively fill the shotlist with content on our App.

    PROBLEM SOLVED

    User generated video has exploded online. There are 10s of millions of searches for video tools on google everyday. However making a movie is still a difficult task, one that we do alone with complicated software. Which is why most users leave video clips on their phone and do nothing with them. In addition brands have struggled to get engaging user generated videos in marketing campaigns. ShotClip makes movies Easy, Fun and Social and enables all users to make a movie with defined Storyline and theme. ShotClip enables the host of a crowd movie to run a marketing campaign/competition around the crowd movie and harness the power of crowd content to promote new products, events or locations.

    REVENUE MODEL

    ShotClip is a freemium app that generates revenue in a number of ways.
    – Free users can upgrade for $4/month to get HD renders and to invite more users to private projects.
    – Event Packages cost $200. This enables the host of the event to have a private crowd of upto 200 or 300 people to make a movie together (e.g. of a wedding)
    – Partnership deals – ShotClip can partner with Brands, Event Managers, Tourist boards who want to run global crowd campaigns to promote new products, events or tourist locations. ShotClip aims to generate $10k revenue per partnership deal.

    EXIT STRATEGY

    ShotClip’s exit strategy is to be acquired by a Facebook or Google, both of whom are extremely active in the acquisition space, more than 100 deals in the past 3 years in the £50M-£100M range.
    Cloud based companies like ShotClip typically sell for 5x – 12x revenue which could mean that ShotClip would potentialy be in the £30M – £80M pound range in 3 years time (a possible 30x – 80x return on investment)
    ShotClip also has an opportunity to grow into something much bigger, a mass market product that could command much higher valuations or even goto an IPO. If that where to happen much the possibility of greater returns could be achieved.
