Our solution is software driven and is based on over 10 years continuous development by a leading spin off company from Microsoft and uses an Enterprise level platform. We pioneer unique management solutions in energy and operational efficiency by delivering key data in real time into a system already used by some of the world’s leading companies.
There are 10bn devices connected to the Internet and this is set to grow to 30bn by 2020. This is opening up completely new ways to do business whilst solving problems. Our solution enables large companies or those with complex multi-site operations spread geographically, to optimise energy consumption whilst being compliant. This includes buildings, hotels, offices, production processes and transport. New binding legislation (ESOS), which comes into effect in December 2015, now requires companies employing over 250 employees, to comply with a mandatory programme of energy audits.
The revenue model is based on two income streams. The first is we take a reasonable margin on the hardware we install for a given application. This is a one-off sale as the client usually wants to own the equipment we install. The main objective of the business is to harness the cloud technology we have to generate a recurring monthly revenue stream that grows exponentially over time. Our strategy is to have a small number of very large clients rather than a large number of small ones as pursued by our competitors.
The business strategy is to grow the business to a high EBITDA % based on long term recurring income contracts. The exit strategy is to sell the business to a very large corporate entity, probably a client for a high exit p/e within 3-5 years.
