about me…
My name is Alice Hoskins. I am 25 years old, a youth worker and a case manager and I am the sole creator and founder of UrbanARK Youth Centre
UrbanARK Youth is an independently run youth centre where young people aged 12-25 can meet others, enjoy recreational activities, access services, learn new skills, and get involved in a range of innovative and creative programs.
One of the most important parts of my work is providing opportunities for Australian Youth to develop a passion for something that changes their outlook and attitude in a positive way. It’s about helping young people find an activity they are good at, then helping them to channel their energy positively. I want to create an environment where finding your passion can become something truly life-changing.

What We Cover…

Part Two: Employment Skills
Covering Job Hunting, resume and cover letter writing and preparing and presenting for job interviews.
Part Three: Work Relations

How old do I have to be?
This course has been designed to help all young people aged between 14-18 years of age.
So how much will this cost each participant if they had to pay?
This course will cost only $250.00 for students and job seekers. All course materials including work books, pens and exercise books will be provided to each upon successful registration in this course. They will even be given a carry bag for their folder and materials.
Who is the target audience for this program?
The target audience for this program are young people from low socio-economic backgrounds who have limited resources and chances to obtain and maintain work in their chosen careers. Through our research we have found that people from our target areas were less motivated to look for work, keep their job and in some cases had no interest in attending school.
Who will be running this program?
UrbanARK Youth Centre will be hosting and facilitating this program. We are a small not for profit community organisation with sole purpose of benefiting Australian youth.
We have a dedicated team of workers to help in the facilitation and running of the program including:
2 x accredited youth workers
1 x mental health social worker
1 x youth counselor and
1 x student in youth worker
