Just wanted to Spring an update on you, to let you know about our progress on the Build the Harlem Brewery project. This past year, we’ve been quite busy with new product launches and planning for the Harlem Brewery-Striver’s Row flagship project. Thanks to your support and encouragement, we are well on our way. We have received a number of on line pledges and off-line pledges for donations and investments. In fact, our single biggest off line pledge (which was for investment) was $100K. We are now moving into the next phase of fund raising to build out the former Song Shop of American Composer Noble Sissle (later the Red Rooster) to include the Harlem Brew House, bar, fermentation rm, restaurant, and brew garden. The project will also be linked to our brewing class at City College. We are on target to open 10-12 months. We invite you to continue to support our campaign here or to pick up bottle/pint, or six-pack, case or keg at your favorite bar or grocer! Cheers to You!
BREWING IT FORWARD….It’s our 15th Anniversary! Thank all of you for your support! A special thanks to our AMAZING Village of Harlem and the many great communities we serve across the country and abroad! To our local beer lovers, visitors from near and far, distributors, restaurateurs, baristas and especially our friends… we are preparing to build the Harlem Brew House you’ve been asking for! So far we’ve raised $119,000 of pledges (and investment) via this campaign. We have additional investment pledges of $300K offline with growing interest. Total project cost: $1.5M. UPDATE: With your support, we have retained our architect, a restaurant consulting group, and nearing signing the lease! Thanks so much for being a part of this amazing campaign and journey on line and off line. Stay tuned. Cheers!

You’ve been there from brew one-from our 90s Harlem home brew days, good and bad, to the very first hop bines, from early batches at Olde Saratoga Brewing Company more than 14 years ago; and on that historic launch day for Harlem Brewery’s flagship Sugar Hill Ale at the Studio Museum in Harlem on June 19, 2001.

Our beginings are humble, the first order from the Queen of Soul, Sylvia Woods & Family to support from President Clinton, Audrey Smaltz to Sugar Ray, two well known Simmons, Huggy Bear, and too many to name here…(we will name them all)from Harlem Week to Beer Week, hopping A trains, LIRRs, Amtraks, planes, our car & yours, yellow taxi to Ubers…..(and bars) from Maine to Philadelphia, from Charleston to Detroit, from Florida to New Orleans and west to Los Angeles to UK, together we’ve shared a long trail of beers and sometimes tears.
Here’s to your love, advise, calls, emails, tweets, partnerships and patronage. The source of our inspiration. This Harlem Brew House is for You!

Now with a great location, great support, expert development team, a local brewhouse manufacturer, the time has come for us to raise our glasses and funding to make it all happen. Your support will not only help brew great beers, it will also bring some cool jobs to the community and revive a lost brewing tradition. Some have said our goal is ambitious (we hope to exceed it), what do we have but our dreams and beer. We embrace the power of community and collaboration — people, minds and resources, where everyone matters, nothing is impossible. Let’s brew this-together!
