BENEFITING: BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF AUGUSTA- WAYNESBORO
Every summer the Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County provides a Summer Camp program that runs 11 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 7 weeks. Hundreds of kids in grades k-12 participate each year in the program that provides field trips, educational enrichment, swimming, bowling, farming, cooking, and more!
While school’s out for the summer, this is an incredibly valuable service for hundreds of families in the area who don’t just want their child to be in good hands, but also benefit from a diverse schedule of programming that keeps their child active, learning, healthy, and safe. However, not all families who want and need this option are able to afford it.
Our 2015 goal is to provide scholarships for 100 eligible youth for our summer camp. Each scholarship is $200 and you can make tax deductible donation to fund all or part of a scholarship.
TO ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO NEED US MOST, TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS PRODUCTIVE, CARING, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS. OUR CORE BELIEFS A BOYS & GIRLS CLUB PROVIDES: A SAFE PLACE TO LEARN & GROW. ONGOING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CARING, ADULT PROFESSIONALS. LIFE-ENHANCING PROGRAMS & CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES. HOPE & OPPORTUNITY.
After school programming is kind of our thing.
