The first week of May, 2015, I will be embarking on what hopes to be one of the most rewarding missions of my life. I will be joining other volunteers from around the world in a combined effort to make a difference in the lives of young women in Nepal. According to the United nations, nearly 113 million young children are unable to attend primary school and 263 million do not attend secondary school. More than half of these children are girls. The exclusion of girls from education is one expression of the lack of power and forced oppression females endure globally. I will be working with the Global Volunteer Network, an agency supported and recommended by Bill Gates. Once in Napal, I will be hosted by Volunteer Services of Nepal. I will live with a host family for 6 weeks while I instruct English in a village outside of Kathmandu. English comprehension skills have become imperative in global education. I need your help! By contributing to this mission, you will be contributing to the education of these young girls, giving them the the opportunity of gender equality and a chance to be lifted out of poverty. So please take a moment and consider making a contribution to this cause. Join me and the others who contribute in feeling good about taking action to build a better tomorrow for all girls around the world. Thank you for any assistance you can afford.
