Riazul Imports LLC (“Riazul” or the “Company”) is the exclusive manufacturer and marketer of ultra-premium Riazul and high-value La Pitaya 100%-agave tequilas. Tequila is enjoying explosive and sustained demand in the US market and around the globe, especially in the 100%-agave, premium category. According to data from DISCUS.org, U.S. shipments of tequila reached 13.1 million cases in 2013. Riazul is highly competitive in this rapidly growing market due to its vertical integration, superior product quality and recently established national distribution strategy.
Iñaki holds an MBA from Rice University in Houston with a concentration in finance and entrepreneurship. He applies his business savvy and finance experience to oversee the successful execution of Riazul’s business plan. Under his leadership, the company has surpassed sales of over 30,000 cases of Riazul and secured representation by luxury wine and spirits agent, Terlato.
Adora Galas, VP of Marketing and Sales
Given Adora’s distinct ability to brand and market premium tequila, Inaki invited her to take part in his dream to create a national premium tequila brand. Orozco and Galas jointly launched Riazul in 2008 and their creative vision has allowed Riazul to stand apart from its competitors. Ms. Galas has over fifteen years of managerial experience in marketing and promotions. Formerly the Texas promotional coordinator for Warner Music Latina, she has represented numerous international artists who could serve in brand endorsement roles.
Mario Moreno, VP of Operations and Quality Control
Mario serves as VP of Operations for Riazul, overseeing the Company’s Mexican operations including direct representation with the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT). He is a sought-after, prestigious field-engineering consultant having managed most of Casa Cuervo’s plantations in Los Altos de Jalisco for more than fifteen years. Mario’s involvement with the cultivation of agave commenced at the Cuervo Research Laboratory of Tequila in 1986. The years he spent with more experienced “agaveros” aided his development of new and successful techniques. He incorporated an agave consulting agency in 2000 and continues to research agave cooking, fermentation, distillation and maturation through associations with top universities and leading companies in the agrochemicals industry.
