August 25, 2026, ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Water Tower Research (www.watertowerresearch.com) has published a report on Omniscient Neurotechnology Pty Limited titled, “Making Brain Data Actionable at Scale; Revolutionizing Brain Health”. The report can be accessed here.
Omniscient Neurotechnology Pty Limited is a neuroscience software company headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 2019 by neurosurgeon Dr. Michael Sughrue and data scientist Dr. Stephane Doyen, and led by Stephen Scheeler, the former CEO of Facebook Australia and New Zealand, Omniscient commercializes connectomic analysis and visualization, turning scans from MRI machines hospitals already own into patient-specific maps of brain wiring and network activity. The company’s flagship clinical product, Quicktome, is sold as a cloud-based software service: hospitals send MRI data to Omniscient, the data is processed, and patient-specific network maps are returned to the surgeon and care team to support better-informed treatment decisions. Quicktome received its first FDA clearance in 2021 for turning diffusion MRI into 3D maps of the brain’s white-matter wiring and in 2023 became the first FDA-cleared platform to generate motor, language, and vision correlation maps from resting-state fMRI. The platform has been used in ~20,000 processed cases at ~100 US hospitals and clinics, and as of July 2026 the company had ~$5 million of ARR across 58 master contracts, with approximately half of contracts now multi-year. Clinical references include the Barrow Neurological Institute, Westchester Medical Center, Hackensack Meridian Health, and Northwell Health, and more than 90% of Quicktome subscriptions have renewed.
Quicktome combines recurring subscription revenue with usage-based upside. The entry-level hospital subscription starts at ~$135,000 a year, and usage can make mature accounts worth several times the base: the largest account generates close to $500,000 of total annual revenue. Neurosurgical planning, the first commercial wedge, addresses an estimated base of ~750 US hospitals, which alone could support a multi-hundred-million-dollar revenue opportunity. A deep brain stimulation (DBS) 510(k) submission has been filed with the FDA, with clearance expected by the end of 2026, to be followed by a planned brain-injury clearance covering stroke, traumatic brain injury, and coma that management estimates would expand the addressable market roughly tenfold. Mental health represents the largest long-term opportunity. Omniscient’s moat rests on a reported portfolio of 45 patent families covering individualized brain parcellation, scanner harmonization, anomaly detection, and visualization; scanner-agnostic engineering across GE, Philips, and Siemens systems; a proprietary dataset of more than 100,000 multimodal brain imaging subject sessions; and an embedded clinical workflow built across its installed hospital base. Mental health is the largest long-term opportunity; Omniscient already earns limited revenue from transcranial magnetic stimulation providers using Quicktome to identify personalized targets and the company’s proprietary technology could guide personalized drug selection over trial-and-error prescribing.
