Do has more than 20 years of equity research experience in the biotechnology space, covering large- to smid-cap companies, as well as a broad range of therapeutic areas and drug development platforms. His areas of expertise include oncology, cell therapy, autoimmune, rare diseases, inflammatory, infectious diseases, antibody technology, AI/ML-enabled drug discovery, vaccines, cell therapy, RNAi, mRNA, gene therapy, and small molecules.
Previously, Do was a senior sell-side analyst at Piper Sandler, BMO Capital Markets, and Nomura Securities, with prior coverage of the largest biotech names and multiple companies from the start of their initial public offerings. He also spent time as a buy-side analyst at Safra Asset Management, responsible for value investments in the healthcare industry.
Before Wall Street, Do conducted genetic and molecular cell biology research at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, the pediatric affiliate of Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he co-authored 17 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals, including Nature Genetics. Do graduated with a BA degree in Biology from the Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School. Do is also a CFA charterholder.
