After learning they would lose their legacy system at the end of the year, leaders in the Town of Mount Pleasant, NY, knew they needed to find a new, modern permitting system, so they partnered with OpenGov, the leader in modern cloud software for our nation’s cities.
In addition to challenges with legacy software, the Town’s Building Inspector also wanted to move toward online permitting to service the municipality’s burgeoning commercial business community. After reviewing several options, the Town’s leadership ultimately chose OpenGov Citizen Services for its ability to scale across the enterprise, service additional Town departments in the future, and continue their success in New York State.
With OpenGov Citizen Services, the Town of Mount Pleasant, located in Westchester County and bordering the Hudson River, will be able to simplify workflows for building, planning, and zoning as well as issuance of business and other licenses. The workflows will mirror the Town’s process, and using a visual progress meter, officials will be able to track projects through department reviews. An integrated reporting feature will allow staff to save and export custom reports to share internally or with external stakeholders. Thanks to OpenGov’s solution, staff will spend less time on the approval and reporting processes, leaving more time to focus on strategic initiatives.
The Town of Mount Pleasant joins more than 1,100 public sector organizations leveraging OpenGov to revolutionize work processes with cloud-based software designed specifically for the needs of government.
