Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. To honor this annual event and the ongoing global movement for racial equality, Dionne encourages consumers to support local black female-owned businesses in their communities.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many of these businesses, with quarantines and stay-at-home orders impacting brick-and-mortar sales. As the pandemic slowly subsides, many black female-owned business owners have rolled up the blinds and opened their doors again.
Dionne has created a fashion brand that celebrates diversity.
