Responses From More Than 400 Attorneys and Experts Illuminate Trends
Pensacola, Fla. | IMS ExpertServices announced it will reveal the top trends and findings from a recent survey of more than 400 commercial litigation industry stakeholders during a live Analysts’ Briefing on April 30, 2020. The briefing will include a live preview of the findings to be published in May from the survey, and discussion and context from seasoned industry analysts and experts.
IMS launched the litigation community stakeholders’ survey in early April to litigators and other practitioners, and to the firm’s network of subject matter experts who routinely engage as expert witnesses on projects through the firm.
“We were motivated to help our clients and partners throughout the industry gain a clear view of how this pandemic is impacting the commercial litigation community and introducing behavioral shifts that could sustain for quite some time,” remarked James Crane, Chief Revenue Officer of IMS ExpertServices. “The study’s findings help us identify how the COVID-19 pandemic may be introducing novel areas of dispute and complexity, ushering in new trends in how courts and practitioners conduct work and business and forging behavioral change. We’re grateful for the private practice litigators, experts, in-house counsel, and other industry stakeholders who took the time to share their perspectives in the survey. We appreciate the attention of our team of analysts who have helped us process the survey data, and of our esteemed panelists who will provide even deeper context around the trends in the upcoming live Analysts’ Briefing.”
The study was developed to identify trends across the industry and litigation practice areas, gauge the long-term effects of the pandemic on the complexity of future litigation and demands for litigation services, assess concerns related to court restrictions and the ability of industry stakeholders to complete billable work product, clarify how courts are managing disruptions and shifts to virtual platforms, and understand how law firms and subject matter experts across practice areas are delivering guidance for clients and businesses around novel areas of concern and dispute related to the pandemic.
The live briefing will be hosted by IMS ExpertServices as a webinar, with discussion from a panel of seasoned analysts and industry experts, including Eilene Spear, Operations and Project Manager for The National Law Review; Nate Robson, Litigation Editor for The American Lawyer; Rudhir Krishtel, Founder of Krishtel Coaching, a former partner with Fish & Richardson, and former senior patent counsel with Apple; Ty Sagalow, Founder & CEO for Innovation Insurance Group; and James Crane, Chief Revenue Officer for IMS ExpertServices.
The findings of the study will be published in May and shared with participants who responded to the survey and registrants from the live Analysts’ Briefing on April 30.
The briefing is scheduled for April 30, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. CDT, and registration is required to attend:
