H24US Corp Files Patent for Hydrogen Purification Membrane
New company advances pace making CO2 free hydrogen energy cost competitive to current fuels.
Camarillo, CA – March 4, 2020 – H24US Corp. today announced that it has filed a patent application with the USPTO for its advanced hydrogen separation membrane. Hydrogen has been identified as key to developing carbon free energy solutions.(1) The H24US technology introduces a membrane that can be used in a system with minimum capital expense, has a low or zero carbon footprint, yet has operational flexibility while meeting the volume throughput requirements for both current and future commercial hydrogen creation applications.
Company President Mike Rocke stated that “As a rapidly moving startup, we have filed this provisional patent in order to help us secure our innovative membrane and application, giving us time to perfect the technology and secure both partners and financial backing.”
A report which was prepared by the International Energy Association (IEA) for the G20 and Japan, highlights how hydrogen can facilitate achieving a clean, secure and affordable energy future. The H24US team is dedicated to reducing hydrogen cost and to provide an “accelerant” to realize the promise of clean hydrogen energy.
Hydrogen technology needs advancements to drive down cost with existing producers, making them producers of lower carbon hydrogen as we proceed to newer, cleaner hydrogen techniques that can get us to net zero carbon. In industry and large transport, there is a huge need for “green fuel molecules”. (2) According to the IEA, even as batteries gain pace in the automotive sector, it can be more efficient, cost-effective, and less resource intensive to decarbonize industry and heavy transport through hydrogen (faster decreases are projected by the IEA, with less natural resource use). (3)
The technology behind the patent for H24US will help solve the global energy transition challenge by bringing down the cost to produce hydrogen from not only existing sources, but also from low carbon energy sources.
The company is currently looking for addition people to support this new technology and the investment needed to build out the company’s hydrogen production infrastructure.
