June 1, 2022 Stagg Wabnik Law Group, Garden City, N.Y., is pleased to announce that Brian P. Craig, Esq. has joined the firm’s Construction Law practice. Brian has over thirty years of experience practicing construction law at New York City and Long Island law firms. His practice includes litigation, arbitration and mediation of construction disputes, mechanic’s liens, bid protests, design professional’s liability and contractor’s claims in both the private and public sectors. He has handled trials in the New York Court of Claims, negotiated settlements with the Claims Unit of the Attorney General’s Office, negotiated and drafted contracts, and provided counseling during the course of construction and dispute resolution after project closeout. Brian has represented sureties, owners, prime contractors, subcontractors, architects and vendors, and was previously appointed Special Construction Litigation Counsel for the Nassau County Aquatic Center. Brian is admitted in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Claims, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York and is admitted to the New York State Bar. He graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Daemen College. Brian has lectured on various topics, including “The Fundamentals of Mechanic’s’ Liens,” and authored “New York Legislative Update,” September 2013, Subcontractor News; “Getting Paid: Have Your Mechanic’s Lien Rights Expired?
