City of Selma, California, Modernizes Digital Permitting, Licensing with Partner, OpenGov

When the City of Selma, CA, was in dire need of updated technology, it partnered with OpenGov, the leader in modern cloud ERP software for our nation’s cities, on a digital permitting and licensing solution.

Now, residents can apply for building permits, pet licenses, special event permits, and more through an online portal that walks them through a short survey to ensure they obtain the necessary forms and pay related fees. The City also has the ability to completely automate license renewals to boost compliance and increase efficiency. With more business done online, Community Development staff will have fewer walk-ins, giving them more time to focus on strategic initiatives.  Plus, applicants can apply for a permit any time, from anywhere.
