Elbert County, CO, has partnered with OpenGov, the leader in modern cloud ERP software for our nation’s cities, counties, and state agencies, to reach the County’s goal of building a more effective budget.
After seeing an OpenGov Budgeting & Planning presentation at a Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) conference, County leaders knew OpenGov could help them achieve their goals. OpenGov’s collaborative, all-in-one local government budgeting software will increase efficiencies.
OpenGov Budgeting & Planning will allow County department heads to collaborate not only during the budget-building process but year-round as they plan for capital and strategic projects. The software will give them the opportunity to track proposals and budget performance, as well as share outcomes and reports internally and with the public.
The County, part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Metropolitan Statistical Area, will also be able to create an interactive, easy-to-use online budget book. The book, which has templates that follow GFOA best practices, brings the latest budget information online, allowing the County to be fully transparent to its citizens.
The County of Elbert joins more than 1,000 public sector organizations leveraging OpenGov to revolutionize work processes with cloud-based software designed specifically for the needs of government.
