12th October 2021 (London): ethiXbase partners with CDP to promote climate and environmental disclosure across supply chain networks.
Global ESG and value chain sustainability solutions company ethiXbase announced it has entered into a collaborative agreement with CDP, a global environmental non-profit organisation that runs the world’s disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
As the cost of climate change and environmental damage becomes more significant than ever, businesses must act quickly to mitigate and manage environmental risk and resilience within their supply chain to halt the climate crisis and to protect our people and our planet in the long term.
ethiXbase aims to play a role in encouraging its clients and the million plus suppliers they work with who are already engaged on sustainability issues to join CDP’s supply chain programme, where they can gain a better understanding of the environmental impacts, risks, opportunities and strategies of their strategic suppliers.
CDP gives future-thinking business leaders and ethical investors the insights needed to ensure they are both aware of their environmental impact and can demonstrate their commitment to driving environmental action through holistic and quantifiable performance improvements and addressing environmental risks within their operations and supply chains.
Leas Bachatene, Chief Executive Officer at ethiXbase said: “We believe it is time for companies to dramatically increase their engagement with their suppliers on climate change. The CDP disclosure system established over the past 20 years is world leading and combined with ethiXbase’s highly engaged client base and vast network of global suppliers, we are confident we can help everyone move rapidly towards the circular economy.”
