ERIE, Michigan (October 5, 2021) — ORT Tool has experienced its best first six-months in the history of the company. Incoming 2021 sales have exceeded $29 million, which is already 83% of total sales in 2020.
ORT Tool is a well-diversified machine fabricating company with growth the first six-months was across a number of industries, the substantial sales increase was the result two large projects awarded for building equipment for paper industry and electrical vehicle industry.
ORT Tool has a long history of working in building equipment for the paper industry. The EV project is the first major award in this category. While ORT Tool has worked in the automobile industry, it feels well-positioned for significant growth in the EV market. “We are pleased and excited to work in the EV industry,” stated Angelo Milano, Vice President. He further added, “We are confident we can continue to meet the EV industry needs as it grows substantially over the next decade.”
As manufacturing demand continues to grow the U.S., ORT Tool is well-positioned to meet the industry’s increased demand. Another industry that Ort Tool has been supporting this year has been the plastics industry. With over 30 years of manufacturing, ORT has developed considerable expertise in structural parts which has helped support plastics. This includes: machine bases, platens, clamp cylinders, or weldments.
“We have doubled our welding production capacity in the last year and have 16 horizontal boring at our disposal to help out production needs.” stated Angelo Milano, Vice President. He further added, “Right now we are in the process of hiring more machinists so that we can continue to support industry demands.”
In addition to supporting the plastics machinery industry, ORT Tool services the renewable industries of wind and solar, electric vehicles, oil and gas, transportation and semiconductor industries.
