John is universally recognized as a national leader in representing the survivors of brain injuries in litigation. He founded Gomez Trial Attorneys’ dedicated brain injury practice team and continues to lead that team as its co-chair along with partner Jessica Sizemore. John is one of the very few attorneys in the country who has represented brain injury survivors in litigation all the way through trial.
In one case, John represented Dr. Anthony Zaccaglin and his family in a slip and fall case against Starbucks. After Starbucks offered $75,000 to settle the case, a jury awarded the Zaccaglin family $7.5 million. Dr. Zaccaglin today works as the firm’s dedicated brain injury client liaison.
John is excited to serve the brain injury community in this new capacity, saying, “While I have always derived great satisfaction by helping survivors and their families achieve justice through litigation, I am now thrilled to be able to help even more survivors and their families in this new role.”
