Bountiful Retirement Community Reaches 95 Percent Vaccination Rate

Milestone Achievement Makes Creekside One of the First Senior Living Communities Safe to Visit Following Pandemic

Bountiful, Utah—April 6, 2021—Visitors can now tour Creekside Senior Living and consider it as an option to move senior loved ones into after the community recently reached a 95 percent vaccination rate among residents and employees. The successful vaccination rate was achieved after three vaccination clinics and the tireless efforts of both Coy Huskinson, Executive Director, and Kim Smith, RN, the Director of Nursing. The residents and employees received the Pfizer vaccine.

Coy Huskinson, Executive Director, says, “Creekside has been widely respected in the Bountiful community since its opening in 2018. We have been able to provide care and happiness to all who have walked through our doors whether it be a resident or a family member of one of our residents. It was one of very few communities nationwide that reported zero cases of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic; we are proud to stay that we are one of the healthiest communities in the state.”

She continues, “Choosing to be vaccinated is very personal. We would like to thank our staff, residents and volunteers for looking outside their personal beliefs and choosing to be vaccinated for the continued safety of our community. I am proud to be a part of an organization that consistently puts others needs above their own. Not every retirement community in our area can say that nearly 100% of their Staff and Residents chose to be vaccinated, but Creekside can.”
