Although not standing out with a head-tuning appearance, the BR-V still owns an array of strong points to compete with its competitors. To further improve this popular crossover, Honda has brought a breath of fresh air into the 2021 BR-V.
What are those nips and tucks and are they enough to make this Japanese crossover worth your consideration? Let’s find out.
The BR-V’s exterior aims at a premium and more mature style. The designer tweaked the front with a new grill and redesigned bumper.
The side looks fancy with a top-spec Honda City-inspired set of wheels. Meanwhile, the rear bumper with the reflective pair creates a broader feeling for the back.
In all different conditions with base payload, the BR-V’s fuel consumption reaches 12 km/liter. With a lighter weight or on highway, a consumption of 5 to 16 kilometers per liter is totally possible.
Honda equipped the 2021 BR-V with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technology. This is undoubtedly a welcome addition since such features are normally found on higher-priced cars. The benefit of quickly connecting the mobile device to the screen reduces driver distraction.
Honda’s Vehicle Stabilization Assistance (which integrates both stability and traction control under one system) has helped greatly improve road-holding ability of the BR-V.
Although not designed for harsh road conditions, the BR-V system handles slippery, sticky, and muddy terrain pretty well. The standard reversing camera also enhances counter-collision avoidance.
The new BR-V can handle corners with ease. The car is highly durable when cornering and does not feel overturned. Besides steering, braking is also a plus point of the latest BR-V.
The price of the BR-V in the Philippines hasn’t increased too much for years. In fact, the 2021 BR-V’s price tag is only higher than that of 2018 by Php 8,000.
Do take note though that coming along with that price hike are impressive updates including refreshed bumpers and panels, improved display audio systems and a new set of alloy wheels.
For those who have been persuaded to get home a BR-V, make sure not to miss out Honda Philippines’ latest promos and discounts offered until the end of this month.
Free one-year periodic maintenance service (PMS) is available for all three variants of the BR-V, namely the 1.5 S CVT, Prestige 1.5 CVT, and 1.5 V CVT.
According to the respective PMS schedule, customers can go to authorized Honda auto service centers for twelve months from the date of purchase and present each voucher containing vehicle information for free PMS service.
Not only that, Honda Philippines is also offering a Php 60,000 cash discount and a minimum prepayment of Php 21,000 for the BR-V 1.5 S CVT base variant, a whole deal of Php 74,000 and a lowest upfront payment Php 10,000 for the premium BR-V V CVT.
The BR-V has had a long-standing position in the crossover market, but that doesn’t mean it’s an old-fashioned car model. So, have you prepared a slot in your garage for this newcomer?
