This is the clerical recruitment exam, and it is conducted through two phases: the Preliminary exam and the main exam. Exam Pattern

If you want to clear the exam then you need to score overall and sectional cut-offs. The preliminary exam will be of total 100 marks, and you will have a time duration of 1 hour. After preliminary, you have the main exam, which is of 160 minutes, and it contains 190 MCQs, and the exam will be of a total of 200 marks. In this exam, you will also have four sections, and all of them have different weightage and different duration.

First, you have the General or Financial Awareness section, which contains 50 questions, has maximum marks of 50, and you will get 35 minutes for this section. Then you need to attend the General English section, which contains 40 questions, this means that this section is of 40 marks and you get 35 minutes for it.

After English, you would be attending the Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude section, which will be of 60 marks, and it would have 50 questions in this section. You will get 45 minutes for this section. At last, you would be presented with the Quantitative Aptitude section, which will have 50 questions, and the maximum mark distribution here would be 50 marks, and you have 45 minutes allotted for this section.

Marking Scheme

If we talk of a marking scheme, then there is a different marking scheme for both prelims and main exams. There is a negative marking for both the exams, which is 0.25 for both the exams. Each question of the Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude section carries 1.2 marks and a negative scheme of 0.3 marks.
