Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released a notification for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quality Surveying and Contracts). The SSC JE Examination 2020 is scheduled to be conducted from 22 March to 25 March 2021. Candidates from the engineering background would be appearing for SSC JE exam to be recruited as a Junior engineer in SSC’s prestigious department.

SSC JE Exam Analysis: General Intelligence and Reasoning
The reasoning section contains questions of both verbal and non –verbal types. Candidates are required to answer questions from various topics such as analogy, similarities, dissimilarities, space visualization, problem-solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, etc. The overall level of Reasoning section was easy to moderate. Candidates can easily attempt more than 40 in this section.

Complete the Image, Embedded Image, Paper Folding, and Cutting, Mirror Image – 5-6 questions
Venn diagram – 2 questions
Blood relations – 3 questions
Miscellaneous – 3-4 questions

SSC JE Exam Analysis: General Awareness
The general awareness section was seen to be of moderate level. Questions were asked on various topics, including history, polity, current affairs, science, etc. Below are the points to be noted related to the general awareness section :
SSC JE Exam Analysis: Technical Part (Civil)
The technical paper (Civil Engineering) was of a moderate level. Questions were asked from Building Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering: Theory of Structures, Concrete Technology, RCC Design, Steel Design.
Points to be noted: The technical part consisted of theory mostly, but questions were easily doable.
