The no-cost test COVID-19 antibody test being used at the community event is FDA emergency use authorized and is one of the most reliable antibody tests available and far more reliable than many other tests being provided. The SARS-CoV-2 serology antibody test being provided has a specificity of more than 99% and a sensitivity of 96%.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, and the number of virus cases rise, the GUARDaHEART 501(c)3 Foundation has partnered with The Shoppes at Chino Hills to provide FDA emergency use authorized antibody testing to community members at no cost. The no-cost COVID-19 antibody test is a serum blood test that detects the body’s immune response to the infection caused by the COVID-19 virus. The test that can be used to detect the presence of an IgG antibody response which can identify past COVID-19 infections and whether a person has developed an immune response or immunity to COVID-19. A positive result indicates that an individual has been infected with the COVID-19 pathogen in the past.
This test could be a critical next step to flatten the curve in battling COVID-19 and ensuring a safe re-opening of the community. All tests and results will be kept 100% confidential. Results will be available within five business days or less following all HIPAA compliance requirements
No Cost COVID-19 Antibody Testing Community Event
This opportunity is for asymptomatic individuals who suspect they may have come in contact with the coronavirus or experienced symptoms weeks or months ago but were never tested. If a patient is currently exhibiting any signs or symptoms of active infection virus, they should be tested for coronavirus by COVID-19 swab test.
Dr. Douglas S. Harrington, MD Fellow of the American Society of Preventive Cardiology, and the American Society of Clinical Pathology, is an expert in laboratory diagnostic testing. Dr. Harrington is also the Chairman of The GUARDaHEART Foundation and will be available to speak with the community on the Opening Day of testing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to answer any questions on antibody testing and the importance of the antibody test.
Testing will be available to all, though individuals aged 1-18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian to receive a COVID-19 serology antibody blood test at no-cost to them on November 10, 11 and 12 at The Shoppes at Chino Hills, 13920 City Center Drive Suite 4055, Chino Hills CA 91709 (Near Victoria’s Secret, between H & M and the Den Salon) Free Parking at the rear of the building “Paseo of the Stars” parking lot.
There are three simple ways to register for your no-cost COVID-19 antibody test. You can reserve your test using this form or go to www.guardaheart.org. If you are unable to register online, walk-ins are welcome – plan for extra time to complete the registration in-person.
The testing is covered under the CARES Act with or without insurance. If you have insurance, please bring your insurance card with you. Insured community members will have no out-of-pocket costs such as co-payment or deductible as insurance company are required to handle these fees.
