The main draw of a video is what it is about, and what makes people come back for more is usually the character or writing in the video. Keeping to a schedule show people that you are committed to your channel and that if they subscribe to you they will expect new video regardless of how often they are.
Content creators may opt to buy views as a way to get their video to trending. This is done to get noticed by an audience since YouTube is very competitive. However, buying views is not how you would build an audience, being consistent, and making good content is. While you can use a boost in view counts it is important to make people want to come back for more.
