Barker Brettell has been revealed as the UK firm of choice for US law firms with patent prosecution work, according to data from Patent Pilot.
In a recent article published by *IAM, Patent Pilot analysed data on how much prosecution work was sent by US law firms to overseas firms in different regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany and China.
The report also identified the ‘most trusted’ firms in each of those regions, based on the number of cases received from US firms. Barker Brettell topped the list of ‘most trusted’ firms in the UK for prosecution work sent by US law firms in 2018. The firm also ranked fourth ‘most trusted’ UK firm for the period 2013 to 2018.
John Lawrence, senior partner at Barker Brettell, said: “I am delighted that Barker Brettell has been listed as ‘most trusted’ in the UK for US law firms with patent prosecution work. Thank you to the clients who have made this happen. The US is an important market for the firm and we have worked hard to build strong relationships with clients and US law firms over the years.”
