Dish is adding another piece to its small but growing wireless business. On Monday, the company announced a deal to acquire the customer base of mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Ting Mobile from Tucows. As part of the agreement, the latter will also provide infrastructure services to Dish, helping facilitate things like billing and activations.
The deal follows Dish’s recent acquisition of Boost Mobile. At the start of July, the telecom paid $1.4 billion to buy the company from T-Mobile and Sprint.
