The Commercial and Financial Law Reporter (CFLR) is a student-run and a professionals-supported platform that seeks to delve into academic research to legitimately contribute to the practice and jurisprudence around commercial laws
As a part of our constant endeavour to embolden the ideas of innovation and synergy, CFLR invites you to attend one of a kind academic debate series called “Project Discourse”.
Project Discourse is a quarterly debate series on topics like arbitration laws, corporate governance, securities law, taxation, insolvency law, competition law etc. The series aims to invigorate the wide public discussion through disputation and deliberations. The debates are designed to encourage visitors/participants to seek out further information about the issues, engage in a face-to-face discussion.
Keeping in mind the current scenario, the motion for the first debate in this series is: “This house believes that remote hearings can replace physical hearings in arbitration”.
The speakers are Mr. Vyapak Desai (Partner, Nishith Desai Associates) and Mr. Ajar Rab (Partner, Rab & Rab Associates), and the session will be moderated by Mr. Rohan Batra (Partner, R&R Law Chambers).
The webinar is open for all and will be held over Zoom.
The webinar will be held on 18th July 2020 at 4:30 PM.
